(ΚΛΧ or KLC) is a national service-based fraternity, considered a professional fraternity in the United States. ==History== Kappa Lambda Chi Military Fraternity Incorporated was founded on July 4, 2013, in Clinton, North Carolina. The organization was built as an alternative for male service members whom want to become a part of a Greek letter organization. There are three founding members: Sir Zachary D.S. Wyatt II, William Dickey, James K. Jackson. The founders took pride in the development of the first Greek-lettered military fraternity. Kappa Lambda Chi was incorporated on August 8, 2013 by men of the U.S. Armed Forces. Fraternity members currently serve or have previously served their country honorably in all branches of the United States Military. Since 2013 Kappa Lambda Chi has admitted service members into the organization using a specific screening process with the following standards: (1) Membership requires any man requesting consideration be evaluated and determined to be of good character. (2) Candidates must both be a current or former service member of fair ability, and have a level of ambitious purpose. (3) Candidates must possess a congenial disposition and proven to have good morals. These traits ensure candidates are able to display a (4) high sense of honor, and even more a (5) deep sense of personal responsibility. Kappa Lambda Chi members are expected to support veterans in need and their local communities through volunteer service. Members perform volunteer service at military hospitals and local nursing and assisted living facilities.
